How to use the Case Converter

Case Converter changes capitalization without making you retype a heading, list, filename, or block of copy. You can move between five common styles and copy the result when it looks right.

  1. Paste or type the text

Add the words you want to reformat in the main text box.

  2. Choose a case style

Select sentence case, lowercase, uppercase, title case, or capitalize words.

  3. Copy the result

Review punctuation and proper names, then copy the converted text.

A practical example

Text: a guide to the night sky

Title Case produces “A Guide to the Night Sky.” Sentence case produces “A guide to the night sky.”

What to know

  • Title Case keeps common short words lowercase unless they begin or end the title.
  • Automatic conversion cannot identify every proper name or intentional brand spelling.
