How to use the Image Cropper

Image Cropper removes unwanted edges and reframes the subject of a picture. Use a free crop or choose a common shape, then move and resize the crop area until the composition is right.

  1. Choose an image

Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file up to 25 MB.

  2. Pick a crop shape

Choose Free, Square, 4:3, 16:9, 4:5, 9:16, or phone wallpaper.

  3. Position and crop

Drag the frame around the area you want to keep, create the crop, and download it.

A practical example

Make a vertical story image

Choose Reels & Stories for a 9:16 frame, center the subject inside it, and crop the image.

What to know

  • Cropping removes pixels outside the selected frame and changes the image dimensions.
  • PNG crops remain PNG; accepted JPEG and WebP sources are saved as JPEG.
